Unique Icona Vulcano for $2 Million

At the Motor Show in Shanghai Italian manufacturer of Supercar, Icona, presented Vulcano. For exclusive possession of so far only produced copies its owner will have to set aside two million. For the emergence of Vulcano is responsible Cecomp company, which manufactures body and chassis of supercar, which is one of the founders of the brand Icona.

Cecomp is known for his work on the BMW Z4 Zagato and Ferrari 575M SuperAmerica. On the model Vulcano is noted the stylistic influence of Ferrari, Lexus LFA, and even the Chevrolet Corvette. This car is 4,450 mm long, 1,940 mm wide, while its mass is 1.595 kg.

Although a copy shown in Shanghai will probably be the only one that will be produced, the company Icona say that they prepared two operating systems for two different versions. For the first, the H-Turismo, and is designed for everyday driving on public roads, developed a hybrid powertrain consisting of a V12 engine that develops 801 hp and electric motor 119 kW/162 hp. Power is transferred to the rear wheels through an automatic transmission, and the car in this configuration is capable to reach 0 to 60mph in 3 s, and up to 160mph in 9.2 s. Top speed is 210mph.

For H-Competizione racing version of Icona Vulcano, designed the second drive system that includes a twin-turbo V6 engine with 558 hp and an electric motor already mentioned. Petrol engine delivers power to the front wheels and an electric generator in the back, turning Vulcano in the supercar drive to all four wheels. In this configuration, the acceleration to 60mph is achieved in 2.9, and up to 120mph in 8.9s while maximum speed remains unchanged.
