Hybrid foldable yacht

The luxury yacht was designed through the use of contemporary Italian design characteristics to give it certain features that most other yachts would not. What David and Hugo have done is they’ve tried to fuse luxury and efficiency to create a yacht with an all-new approach for the ultimate sailing experience. The students have designed the boat in a manner that will enable it to be folded in order to save space. The foldable luxury yacht is only 3.84 meters in length while its height measures a mere 1.85 meters. This way, it can easily be stored in the city garages while saving a lot of space. The Intense yacht also gets its inspiration from hand gestures, which can be seen in pictures of the project.

Inside, the Intense yacht includes features unlike any other we’ve ever seen. All functions inside the boat can be operated by simply using an iPad or iPhone. This, however, is done using specific applications. The interior is elegantly designed to provide the ultimate luxury yachting experience. According to the Intense project, the yacht, although relatively small in size, maintains its aesthetic values while its motion features make it different from any other yacht design. Modern technology is being strongly applied for the Intense project.

Keeping eco-friendly aesthetics in mind, the hull and bridge of the Intense will be made from hemp fiber composite. Hemp fiber is presently being used on a large scale basis for automotive composite products, and is largely produced particularly in North America. The interiors will also be made from eco-friendly materials. The chairs and lounge seats will be filled with biodegradable polymer that is extracted from corn and vegetable starch. The floor, which provides the option of customization in any color, is covered with flexiteek, a teak-like material made of composite materials. There is also the use of carbon fiber that will add to the yacht’s sporty appearance.
The Intense project is aimed at providing the best features any yacht could offer for an affordable price and will hopefully inspire future yacht designs. The materials used for the yacht will also be less expensive than many other luxury yachts and will help keep the water and the rest of the environment clean. Considering the positives of David Falcone and Hugo Cohen’s Intense hybrid project, its success will hopefully make an impact on the future of yacht design and encourage other yacht designers to lay more emphasis on eco-friendly projects.
