Lingenfelter Camaro “Retrokit”

Lingenfelter Performance Engineering (LPE) have just launched a “Retrokit” for the fifth-generation Camaro.  LPE’s Retrokit package is designed to give the current Camaro a look inspired by the 1969 model.

Ken Lingenfelter says of his latest creation: “Many Camaro fans were disappointed when the design of the fifth gen Camaro didn’t look as much as the ’69 Camaro as, say, the new Mustang looked like the original. With our Retrokits package, enthusiasts can have the best of both worlds – the technology of today paired with the muscle car styling of the past.”
Lingenfelter’s Retrokits package includes a 1969-style non-RS system front fascia or an RS system front fascia with hideaway headlights.

The non-RS system includes:
- Front fascia
- Lower spoiler
- Standard chrome bumper
- Grille assembly with SS badge
- Two headlight assemblies
- Two lower running light assemblies
- All required mounting brackets
- Wiring harness assembly

The RS system includes:
- Front fascia
- Lower spoiler
- Standard chrome bumper
- Grille assembly with SS badge
- Two headlight assemblies with doors and motors
- Two lower running light assemblies
- All required mounting brackets
- Wiring harness assembly

Both versions of the Lingenfelter Camaro Retrokits can be bought separately for self-fitting, or they can be installed by the company. Lingenfelter also point out that at the same time buyers may want to upgrade their Camaro’s drivetrain by letting them fit their 800 horsepower turbocharged LS7 Camaro L28 engine and performance package! The non-RS Camaro Retrokit system, uninstalled, is $6,850, while the price when installed and painted by LPE is $8,550. The RS system kit not installed is $8,150, and the installed price is $9,750.
